Personal
I am from Chennai, a metropolitan city,in South India. I have learned both South Indian Classical dance popularly known as Bharathanatyam and Carnatic Music for over 16 years. I have given several vocal and dance performanes along with my sister, Deepa Vivek in India, US and Switzerland. I dedicate my Ph.D. to my mom (Dhanalakhsmi) who passed away due to leukemia on December 25th,2006 at 6.05 pm (IST). In December 2007, my sister and I gave a dance performance at the SSVT Temple in Maryland, in memory of our mother.
